Colourmat®
Colourmat® products are a wide range of colourants for a variety of colour cosmetic applications. Depending on the surface treatment, different functionalities can be achieved varying from long lasting finish or mattness to soft feel and comfort on dry skin types.
Technical information
Colourmat® products are composite materials, based on muscovite mica matrix, a colour phase and a surface coating. The surface coating materials vary from synthetic to fully natural. Colourmats® are platelet shaped particles and their particle size distribution is between 10-20 microns.
Properties and application areas
The colours in Colourmat® products are fully developed and no colour development will occur during grinding. The Colourmats®.do not require grinding tehmselves, but this may be done it needed for other ingredients. Most of the Colourmats® are hydrophobic with the exeptions of Colourmat® MSL and ZP, which are hydrophilic, and Colourmat® TZ, which is onmiphilic.
Colourmats® are suitable for powder applications and foundations. The use level is slightly higher than the use level of straight pigments.
